Nick is a versatile individual with a diverse background in education, law, business, rugby, and administration. With a strong belief in “paying it forward” and community support, he has made significant contributions in various fields.
An Auckland Grammar alumni, Nick pursued higher education at the University of Auckland, earning an LLB degree. With four decades of experience in general legal practice, he specialises in property, business financing, and trusts. Nick actively engages in pro bono work, fulfilling his personal “social contract” and contributing to society.
Nick’s passion for rugby has been lifelong. Starting at Auckland Grammar’s 1st XV, he then played for the Grammar Old Boys from 1976 to 1984, before making the move to Takapuna RFC where he played from 1985 to 2001. As a player and coach, he achieved multiple championships and captained the Premiers.
Beyond his professional and rugby pursuits, Nick is interested in theatre, film, and TV, showcasing his artistic inclination.
Dedicated to the Foundation’s goals, Nick aims to positively impact the local and wider rugby community through the unique opportunity it provides.
