The Foundation board has commissioned author and historian Matt Elliott (Dave Gallaher: the Original All Black Captain, War Blacks: the extraordinary story of New Zealand’s World War I All Blacks, Rugby Folklore: myths, legends and events that made New Zealand rugby) to commence work on a book which will be published to mark the club’s centenary in 2034. We would really appreciate members and friends’ support for this important club project. A questionnaire to gather information will be sent out soon, and we hope you will take the time to complete it. Matt is particularly keen to know if there is anybody around who played for the club before 1950, who would be willing and able to talk to him.
