Ant has a longstanding connection with Takapuna RFC, dating back to his days as a junior player in the late 70s. He later returned as an age-group and senior player, before dedicating ten years to coaching junior teams.
After completing an MBA at Dublin’s Trinity College, Ant pursued a successful, but relatively brief corporate career. He eventually shifted his focus to community-based projects, channelling his time and talent towards making a positive impact on young people.
During his tenure as General Manager at First Foundation, spanning six years, Ant also established two thriving charitable trusts, namely Not For Me and Hand Up Foundation. He recently finished up serving as General Manager at the Tania Dalton Foundation and The Resilience Project for the past five years. Ant’s dedication extends beyond rugby. He has assumed various governance roles in sports and education sectors while supporting numerous community organizations in diverse capacities.
Ant firmly believes in the significant role the Takapuna Rugby Community Foundation will play in both the local community and the development of the game.
